The Surfing Scene in Panama
The West coast of Panama is a largely untapped scene in terms of the many surfing spots available to the avid surfer and surfing tourist. There are various points off the west coast that are accessible via land, but the overall consensus appears to be that the best waves and breaks are more easily accessed from the sea. This offers one the ability to get to many of the breaks that are situated around the various islands on Panama’s west coast. Of specific reference to the access by boat, a number of tour operators offer the service to those die hard surfers to enable them to access these breaks and surfing spots via boats, where one has the option of staying on board a fully kitted cruiser to make the most of the surfing experience on the western coast of Panama.
