Pedasi
Home of famed French Architect Gilles Saint-Gilles, Pedasi is a charming rural town in the Azuero Peninsula of Panama. Former president Mireya Moscoso transformed her hometown with modern infrastructure, in anticipation of developers who would consider setting up their resorts and developments in Pedasi.
With its proximity to the continental shelf, its pristine waters, abundant marine life, and its strong Spanish heritage, tourists have compared Pedasi with Guanacaste province, one of Costa Rica’s most desirable regions. World class deep sea fishing, whale watching, snorkeling and scuba diving are some of the more popular marine activites in Pedasi. It is also a scuba diver’s delight, with discoveries of various wrecks and seamounts for divers to explore and experience.
Pedasi is also considered the heartland of Panamanian folklore, where life moves at a snail’s pace, where people are extremely friendly, and everything in town being quite affordable. The rush and hustle of the evryday city life is completely forgotten as one takes a step back in time inn this beautiful area.
