Panama’s Torrijos to visit Gautemala

President Martin Torrijos is visiting Guatemala and is the first head of state to do so since Colom took office in mid January. Following Torrijos’ visit the heads of state of Colombia, Brazil , Mexico and Venezuela will visit Gautemala.

The agenda to be covered by Torrijos and Colom include the discussion of the trade agreement between the two countries as well as the battle against drugs and crime within the Central American region. Torrijos is also expected to receive the keys to the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala, when he visits the capital’s mayor, Alvaro Arzu.
