Panama Tourism
Panama is enjoying the ongoing effects of a well established and profitable tourism boom. This takes the form of eco tourism, as well as the various historical and cultural attractions that this unique country has to offer.
The majority of tourists entering Panama over the last year have been via the country’s international Tocumen Airport in Panama City. There have been increased flights to this destination, specifically from Europe and the States, as this tourism destination increases in popularity.
Tourism in Panama is not merely limited to that of the man made marvel of the Canal, but is also fuelled by the eco tourism that is so abundant and beautiful in this region. The Panamanians are so in tune and in touch with the environment that the sustainable preservation of this area seems guaranteed.
Panama tourism has risen to the occasion of establishing ongoing infrastructural development and enhancement, and area that provides a specific example is that of the World Heritage site Casco Viejo, where numerous incentives and programs that have been implemented are paying real dividends. This area has been quoted as a true example of successful urban revitalization.
Generally people are negative in times of economic downswings, looking for excuses and reasons as to not
promote true value for money destinations and vacation options. However with Panama enjoying the value for money and the central location, as well as the superior regional infrastructure – this country still has so much to offer the tourist seeking a unique adventure on a cost effective budget. Therefore why shouldn’t Panama continue experiencing the tourism influx that it has almost grown accustomed to.
Panama has received a resounding international vote of confidence from the International Monetary Fund, as well as the increased ratings from Standard and Poor, which naturally has a positive impact on the country’s markets and attraction as an investment as well as tourist destination. Expansion on the country’s canal serves as an attraction unto itself, allowing the modern day tourist to experience the logistical feat of constructing a canal in this terrain and climate.
The country remains an ideal vacation venue, people will continue going on vacations and investing even in times of uncertainty and economic downswings. The key creating and maintaining a destination of choice is that of consistency in terms of tourist experience and value.
