Panama and Belgium sign agreement
The President of Panama, Mt Martin Torrijos and Prince Phillipe of Belgium have met to discuss and negotiate an investment protection agreement, the agreement signed by the Ricardo Duran, temporary Foreign Minister and Belgian Business Minister Vincent van Quickenborne is centered around the commercial protection of European investors interests within the region. Confirmed by the department of Trade and Industry, the agreement will guarantee the judicial security of investment made in both Panama and Belgium and is expected to motivate parties seeking investment in either of the two countries.
