Fishing and Sailing in Panama

Panama has countless opportunities of fishing and sailing, due to its classic geographical nature and location. One has the choice of the more Caribbean Sea or the tropical blue ocean of the Pacific, to the south of Panama.

There are a number of options where one can go fishing for the prize catch of a blue or black marlin or one can opt for a scenic cruise on a huge catamaran around the bays and to the beautiful white sand islands covered with palm trees. This is a wonderful place in which to spend your time, and there are things to do whether you want to visit the PartyPoker site from the comfort of a beach chair, or go for a swim in the picturesque blue ocean.

Options for fishing include day trips in Montijos or off the Bocas del Toro, one has the opportunity to charter a variety of boats, from the huge 80ft Boca Chica to the smaller catamarans and speed boats. There a number of tours or trips that one can organize in the Bocas area, where one can sail to Dolphin bay and enjoy the bottle nose dolphins frolicking in the nearby waters. Alternatively one can elect snorkeling in Punta Caracol Bay, in nice calm waters or just soaking up the sun on the white sand beaches. Perhaps you have always wanted to learn how to sail, one can even obtain lessons here, conducted by duly licensed and qualified personal. If boating and sailing is your idea of fun, you might want to hang around for the ocean to ocean regatta, which is held in mid April every year.

Bocas del Toro is a fantastic area with superb surfing waves and numerous colorful coral reefs. There are plenty of snorkeling, scuba and surfing opportunities. Or if one just wants to get away and relax, this area like a lot of areas in Panama are removed from that daily hustle and bustle routine, enabling one to truly enjoy and take in the beautiful tropical surrounds.
