Coronado, Panama: The First Beach Town

Coronado is well renowned as the first beach town of Panama.  It is approximately 45 minutes from Panama City and is known as a great Central American vacation spot.   You can easily access Coronado by traveling along the InterAmerican Highway.  It is a bustling tourist haven.

Coronado is home to many shopping malls.  There are many restaurants, which include Central American cuisine, but also some more American ideas, like a sub shop.  Another tourist attraction are the beautiful beaches, although the water can prove to be a bit more of a challenge due to the tides and currents.

There are numerous choices for real estate in Coronado, although a little more costly than the surrounding areas of Panama, whilst many tower condominiums are being built to add to the prosperity as well as the investment opportunities of the area.  There are also many high class vacation hotels that are being built to appease the tourism industry.

The natives of Coronado are mainly fishermen, who provide locally caught fish and seafood.  They will often celebrate holidays and special occasions in the streets.  This can provide a great opportunity for tourists to see how the locals live.  If you choose to live in this city, you can enjoy fresh foods, and local traditions.

Although much of the real estate in Coronado is more costly, it may still prove to be a good financial investment.  Most of the towers that are built provide spectacular views of the beaches and ocean on one side and the surrounding inland landscape on the other side.  Many of the development projects have actually sold out before the building was finished, and in many cases, before it began.
